What We Provide
-
We provide practical, case-focused ultrasound interpretation and internal medicine consultation designed to support veterinary general practitioners in real-world clinical settings. Our goal is not simply to generate reports, but to deliver meaningful recommendations that help guide diagnostics, treatment decisions, and patient management. We prioritize clear communication, collaborative discussion, and clinically useful information that can be directly applied to each case.
-
Dr. Bishop and his team can travel to your clinic to provide in-hospital ultrasound training to help veterinary teams improve image acquisition and scanning technique. By teaching clinicians and staff how to obtain high-quality diagnostic images, we help maximize the value and accuracy of telemedicine consultations while building confidence and ultrasound proficiency within the practice. Please contact us via email or through the website for more details!
Our Team
Micah Bishop, DVM, PhD, DACVIM
Micah Bishop, DVM, PhD, DACVIM, is a board-certified small animal internal medicine specialist serving veterinary hospitals throughout Southwest Florida, including Naples and the surrounding communities. Since 2017, Dr. Bishop has successfully operated a mobile internal medicine and ultrasonography practice focused on delivering advanced diagnostics, practical case management, and collaborative support for primary care veterinarians.
In addition to his mobile specialty practice, Dr. Bishop has provided remote telemedicine ultrasound interpretation since 2017 and served as an ultrasound reader for AIS for four years. His reports are uniquely informed by his extensive internal medicine background, allowing him to provide concise, clinically relevant interpretations paired with straightforward diagnostic and treatment recommendations. He is known for avoiding unnecessary “fluff” and focusing instead on clear, actionable guidance that helps veterinarians efficiently manage cases and improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Bishop believes strong communication is one of the most valuable tools in specialty medicine. He is always happy to discuss cases directly with referring veterinarians, answer questions by phone, and provide follow-up support whenever needed.
Originally from Texas, Dr. Bishop earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University before completing an internship at the University of Minnesota and a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Texas A&M University. He became board certified through the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (DACVIM) in 2014 and later earned his PhD in Gastroenterology.
